Q: Do you take my dental insurance?
A: We work with several PPO providers. We are preferred providers for Aetna, Assurant, Carefirst, Cigna, Delta Dental, Guardian, Metlife, Principal, United Concordia, United Healthcare, and others.
Q: How often do I need to see the dentist?
A: The American Dental Association (ADA) suggests cleanings and exams twice a year at minimum, depending on your dental needs. You may be indicated to see your dentist more frequently if you have active dental concerns or problems.
Q: So many people are afraid to go to the dentist. How do you work with them?
A: It’s our job to create an environment in which our patients are at ease. Additionally, Dr. McCollum is committed to customizing your treatment to optimize your comfort, please take the time to bring up any concerns you have during your appointment.
Q: When does my child need to start going to the dentist?
A: To experience the best cooperation from your child. Dr. McCollum suggested beginning regular dental checkups at the age of 3. However, if you have an immediate concern we would be happy to see them sooner.
Q: What happens if I have an emergency when the office is closed?
